Inventory - Stocktaking

Hey everyone, this video is going to be on inventory search and stocktaking. Periodic stocktaking needs to be done, to make sure the actual inventory is consistent with the system record. There are two kinds of stocktaking: partial stocktaking and complete stocktaking. Stocktaking is for our system products. After we have done the stocktaking for system products we need to go to store product to sync. If you don't have your syncing rule already set up, please do so.

To perform stocktaking, go to inventory, and find stocktaking.

Click add to add a stocktaking order.

Select whether you want to do partial or complete stocktaking.

If partial stocktaking is selected, only the selected products will be affected, the inventory quantity of other products remain unchanged. If complete stocktaking is selected, the inventory quantity of selected products will be updated while all of the other products will have their inventory number turned into zero. You can select the target warehouse and click next step then select the products. You can add products from the system product list, or you can scan the products to add them.

After the stocktaking detail is completed, click next.

You can perform stocktaking immediately or you can just close and do it later.

There are three buttons in the panel section.

stocktake, edit and view. You can click stock take to perform stocktaking. You can edit your stock taking order by using edit. You can view your order.

Now let's look at the inventory search. Go to inventory -> inventory search. In this page you can view inventory information like product code, SKU code, warehouse name, inventory available to sell, inventory available to approve, inventory quantity, quantity in transit and so on. Inventory available for sale is equivalent to sellable quantity and inventory available to approve is equivalent to reviewable quantity.

Our inventory available to sell is the actual inventory quantity minus the number of order placed. Our inventory available to approve is the actual inventory quantity minus the number of orders reviewed.

Inventory quantity is our actual inventory quantity in the warehouse, and it only gets deducted when orders are dispatched.

Quantity in transit is the quantity in the purchase order before inbound. After purchase order is inbound, the quantity becomes actual inventory quantity. You can also set up safety inventory and intelligence purchase. Safety inventory is the threshold for low stock. You can input a safety inventory quantity,or you can import your configuration using template.

Intelligent purchase will give you a recommended purchase order quantity based on recent sales. You can quickly generate a new purchase order based on the recommended quantity. We will not go into details with this function in this video.

That's it for today's video, thank you for watching and i'll see you next time.
