One Platform, Million Possibilities

Product - Store Product - Store Product Management (2)

Hey everyone, in this video we will continue to talk about store product. In the previous video on store product we talked about publishing store products to platform and downloading store products from platform. The downloaded and published store product will be stored in the "store product" module. Basically this module tells you what products you have in your platform store. To switch store, you select the platform from the drop down menu and then select the store.

You can also switch between stores inside the store product module. However you are not able to change platform once you are inside the module.

Inside the store product module we can set up auto inventory synchronization, we can perform manual synchronization, clone and so on. Let's first talk about inventory synchronization.

Before we can start synchronizing inventory we have to make sure our inventory is set up properly and this is very important. For how to set up inventory please refer to our tutorial video on inventory.

After inventory is set up, click the gear icon on the store product module to set up inventory synchronization rules. This rule must be set up before you start syncing.

First you want to input a rule name.

Then you can select an inventory type. Inventory type is the type of inventory that will be considered when synchronizing to the platform. You can select just sellable quantity, that is all the products that are actually in your warehouse. Another option is to select the sellable quantity plus the quantity in transit. Quantity in transit refers to the quantity that have been purchased but have not yet been received by the warehouse.

For inventory ratio, we set a percentage of product. The actual synchronized quantity will be the percentage times, either the sellable quantity, or sellable quantity plus quantity in transit, based on your selection for inventory type.

For instance, if we have selected sellable quantity plus quantity in transit, and we have 100 sellable product and 100 product in transit, and we set the inventory ratio to be 80 percent. The actual quantity that's going to be synchronized to the platform will be 100 plus 100 times 80 percent.

But if we have selected just the sellable quantity, the actual number synchronized will be 100 times 80 percent. For warehouse and store, select the warehouse and store that you want to apply this rule to. Click confirm. After your rule is added it's going to be shown on this list. You can set up different rules for different warehouses and different stores.

Now the rule has been set, we can go into the store product module.

Select the product that you want to synchronize and click sync inventory.

The system is going to perform a one-time synchronization for you. You can also set up auto synchronization.

Just select the product that you want to set up auto synchronization. Go to "more", select "auto synchronization". If you want to set this up for all your products, go to "all items" -> "auto sync inventory". Once you have enabled auto synchronization you are going to see this icon in the sync status column. By looking at this icon, you can tell which product have been set up for auto synchronization. Auto synchronization will happen every time after inventory changes.

Now let's talk about clone. By using clone you can copy an existing store product to a different store. First, select the product you want to clone

and click clone. Find your destination store

and click confirm. You can also select multiple stores.

After confirming, this product will be put into the "to be published" module in the destination store. Click into the "to be published" module and we can see our copied product here.

Click the title and click edit.

You can make your modification if necessary.

After you have done editing the product just close out because the changes will be automatically saved.

Select the product and click release. Now let's look at unconnected products. The products that are not successfully connected to their corresponding system products are shown here in this unconnected inventory product module. Connection failure may be caused by various reasons and we may have mentioned in another video that downloading store product before creating system product would cause connection failure because there is no system products at all. Mismatch in SKU code or product code will also cause connection failure. You can either use this icon here to manually connect the product to a system product of your choice.

You can also use this icon "add system SKU" to create a system product for those product that you have selected. That's it for this video and I'll see you in the next video, thanks for watching, bye!
